I had to take a break from "Dear John" when this book came into the library.
Again, this is the 3rd book in the Honey series by Mary B. Morrison - Unconditionally Single.
For those of you that shy away from the "adult" books, then this will not be for you. It does have very explicit content, but along with that is a very good story line.
These books are a fast page turner. I want to know from the moment I open the book what's going to happen. So, smut or not, this is a good read.

Here is a blurb:

New York Times bestselling author Mary B. Morrison thrills readers with another riveting tale featuring beloved heroine Honey Thomas. This time, Honey goes into hiding to save her life—and fights to keep past enemies from destroying the future she so desperately wants...

Honey Thomas once made her living as a tough-talking prostitute and madam, but those days are long gone. Now, Honey runs a counseling center she founded in Atlanta that helps women like her get off the streets. The best part is Honey's new life is being bankrolled by money stolen from her ex-pimp, Valentino James.

But no matter how fast Honey runs, she never seems to break free from her demons. Valentino knows Honey has his money—fifty million dollars to be exact—and he's willing to kill her to get it back. Honey escapes from Valentino by the skin of her teeth, but she knows the time has come to disappear for a while and figure out where her life is headed. In her heart, Honey still aches for Grant Hill, the love she lost when he learned about her dark past. How much more must she lose before she finally finds some peace?

Like a cat, Honey Thomas seems to have nine lives, and she's used up just about every last one of them. But life still has a few surprises left for Honey—and if she's willing to risk everything, she may just get that happy ending her heart and soul desire...

Publishers Weekly

Hot times in Atlanta, Ga., keep the third installment of Morrison's erotic Honey Diaries blazing, as newly empowered Honey Thomas (formerly known as Lace) turns the tables on some seriously nasty kidnappers. Guns a-blazing, Honey manages to escape from her former pimp, Valentino James, and his dim sidekick, Benito (Honey's former flame), only to hitch a ride with a serial rapist and murderer. After learning of Honey's misadventures, her outrageous bisexual pal, tough Vegas cop Tiffany Davis (“I loved arresting men more than having sex with them”) rides to the rescue. Honey's girls, former escorts she's taken under her wing, also pitch in, but soon ex-stripper Red Velvet takes Honey's place as hostage. Morrison milks the overheated plot for all it's worth, dishing up one problem after another before readers can even catch their breath; unfortunately, the cascade of cliffhangers, while entertaining, makes the neatly wrapped happy ending all the more abrupt and unbelievable. Happy reading and enjoy.
Until next time!
